Underground Solar Panels

Modern research has come up with a possible solution to bulky solar panels, hide them underground. EarthSure is marketing the idea of magnifying sunlight through a fiber-optic line underground (or underneath a roof). The fiber-optic line is fed through cylindrical solar panels, where the light is released to generate electricity.

Suntech Efficiency

After producing a record-breaking commercial solar panel efficiency of 15.6%, Suntech announced it's new commercially-produced panel has a 16.53% efficiency. This means that the solar panel is capable of converting 16.53% of the sunlight that hits the panel into electricity.

Solar Panel Roads

The government is planning on integrating solar panel displays into the road. This will allow roads to serve two purposes: a smooth driving surface and electricity generation.
