A cattle farm in Arlington, Washington, is taking advantage of renewable sunlight to pump water from Eagle Creek onto the farm. The pump is powered by photovoltaic solar panels and a battery system. Thanks to the pump, the farmer is able to keep cattle and their waste out of the creek.
According to the cattle owner, Beach, the pump works flawlessly, even on cloudy days. The pump was funded by a federal grant.
